810-5-4-.04 Designated Agents – Time Frame For The Delivery Of Title Applications To The Department.
(1) The term "Department" as used in this
regulation shall mean the Department of Revenue of the state of
(2) Effective January 1, 2004, every designated agent within this state shall within ten (10) calendar days after an application is received by them, forward the application, title fee, and all supporting documents to the Department.
(3) The provisions of Section 32-8-34 (c), Code of Ala. 1975, as amended, provides that a qualified designated agent of the Department located outside the state may continue as a designated agent of the Department as long as they comply with the requirements of Chapter 8 Title 32 of the Code of Ala. 1975, as amended. Therefore, the Department shall require that all designated agents comply with the requirement to mail an application, title fee, and all supporting documents to the Department within ten (10) calendar days of the receipt of the application.
